After beating. Coogee convincingly the week before we knew we had to. be on our game. With some late withdrawals we started with the bare 11. Into the wind was a challenge and it took us a while to settle into our rhythm. Coogee were up for it and were on top and scored early from a good driving run from midfield. Our chances were few and far between save for a great cross from Barnsey met by Graham whose header flew over the cross bar. We continued to press forward but were caught on the break and Coogee managed to put the ball away again to go into half time 2-0 leaders. Our chance to win the league was on the line and this time with the wind we knew we could get the game back. After 10 minutes a great cross from Ian out right was met by Vahan in the box to make it 1-2. We started to really dominate the match and kept Coogee pressed in their own half for long spells and put them under pressure 14 minutes later Vahan ran onto through ball and chested it past the keeper to make it 2-2 and we were finishing strong Try as we might we just could not put the winner away and while pushing forward their striker managed to beat the offside trap and run 40 minutes to round the keeper and place the ball into net. A tough result for us but with two games to go we need to make sure we can finish strongly and be ready for the final series.
