Dunbar began this match with confidence having performed well against mascot in previous matches.
Our passing game returned and continued from last week.
Constant pressure was rewarded with a well taken corner from Jimmy owen being met by an unmarked taggy who rose Gary Pallister like to head home past the keeper.
The remainder of the half was an arm wrestle with mascot getting some rhythm however we held onto the lead at the break. Jim Karl pete and graham fought well across the middle while matt chris and vahan kep things steady at the back. Gaffers and Smithy were running all game keepingt their defence on the hop.
After the break mascot mounted a lot of pressure with 3 up front and this pressure resulted in a well taken goal from outside the box. This spurred us into action as we had been coasting a little.
After a driving run smithy won a free kick outside the box and proceeded to drill it over the wall into the net.
Ten minutes later after good lead up work down the right, Graham's cross bounced off the cross bar and was tapped in by barnsy from close range.
Mascot continued to pressure and got past our defense to win a penalty which was converted with stu unlucky not to keep it out with 13 minutes to go.
Dunbar regrouped and kept possession and finally this pressure saw a cross from smithy defected into the net by a mascot defender.
Overall a good performance. Although lots of chances were missed we got into the right positions which is positive.
Next stop waverley prems in the ESFA cup on Wednesday.
