2-0 win against Waverly   BACK Well deserved/needed win against Waverly It was a must win game for Dunbar after two defeats in a row and only 3 games left to play in the league. The team showed great spirit and all worked for each, this paying off with a goal within 15 minutes from Liora. Dunbar played the offside rule well and the speed up front was always a danger for Waverly with Nicola coming so close twice and Verena whipping a classic left foot shot just over. Dunbar kept up the tempo with Davina showing how well she has adapted taking on the role as stopper but it could also be called switcher as she made some great passes to set up attack after attack. The game was wrapped up when Liora scored her second from an overhead (kinda) shot which lobbed the Waverly keeper. All in all, everyone played outstanding, totally satisfied with the performance and result. Waverly coach wished the team well and hope they go on to win the comp on behalf of the Eastern Suburbs Ladies teams.......we will definitely try our best!
